Julie Charlestein is the President and CEO of Premier Dental Products Company which develops, manufactures and distributes innovative dental devices and consumables for the oral health professional worldwide.

As the fourth generation of the Charlestein family to lead the company, Julie is driving Premier through its next evolutionary phase with a customer-driven mindset and a focus on technology, data, brand strength, and human capital. Because Premier is both a device innovator and partner to dentists worldwide, Julie navigates the public-private interface and supports dynamic partners daily – giving her unique insight into the challenges and possibilities of the medical device sector. Julie is also a vocal advocate for the impact of innovative technology on modern business practices and dentistry. In July 2019, The Wall Street Journal featured her perspective in the WSJ-Pro AI cover story “AI Helps Medical Device Makers Punch Above Their Weight.”

Known for her high-energy, inspirational leadership and ability to forge meaningful partnerships across the industry, Julie was voted one of The Top 25 Most Influential Women in Dentistry by Dental Products Report. She also serves on the boards and advisory councils of multiple dental schools, including The University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, and, previously, Harvard University.

Passionate about being involved in the community, connecting with her peers and serving others, Julie also is a member of The Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and sits on the Board of Directors for the ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Association.

Julie holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a master’s degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
